Background

Richard and Sue learned the outstanding attributes of the Simmental breed whilst owning a block of “tiger country” near Murchison during the late 1970’s.

Teaching / nursing , in “Janefield”, Mosgiel,2003, an ODT advert to buy cattle for our 2.4 Ha lifestyle block resulted in the purchase of 3 I/c cows from Evard & Marie Strauss.

Buying and moving to our 10 Ha  block near Rangiora in June 2014 tested our herd as there was hardly any rain for 2 years.
