[ For a full listing of our breeder profiles, click here ] Stud Profile - Oripak Simmentals Owner Details Background We have been breeding simmentals for about 15 years, starting out with two pedigree cows, Hampton Downs Graffitti and Hampton Downs Gaylena and one pedigree bull, Hampton Downs Genemaster, a Bar 5 Paymaster son. We were fascinated with the temperament and growth of the calves, whether they were pedigree or crossbred. We have built the herd with a concentration of genetics from Hampton Downs Simmentals, but have also purchased a few cows from some other studs in Northland. Stud Focus To produce Simmental bulls and cows with good temperament, easy calving and good growth. Number of Cows 50 approx. Number of Sires used Up to 6 last season, will be 5 this season. Size and contour of farm 165acres - 80 acres flat , 85 acres rolling hills. Other Stock in farming operation Pedigree German Shepherd dogs. Natural or AI mating Natural Photos  A son from Hampton Downs ULM/Oripak Candy, out of Hampton Downs Jammy and Hampton Downs Graffiti.  A daughter from Hampton Downs ULM AU54/Oripak Cindy, out of Hampton Downs Jammy and Oripak Barbara.  Stud bull used last year, Hampton Downs ULM AU54 - a Kavango son. These genetics we seem to be finding are working for us. Easy calving, milk, meat and good temperament.
