Background

All heifers are expected to settle in calf, hoggets in lamb. We run a one strike policy, then safely rejoin every year there after.
We recognise the need to crossbreed and whilst differences exist between breeds, they are subjected to the same selection/cull process. This is done by recognising the need to retain individual breed characteristics/strengths to drive production and profit.

Stud Focus

To produce moderate framed, efficient, early maturing cattle, that possess sufficient fertility to get in calf before they are 17mnths, rejoin and have enough structural soundness to allow them to rear 8 to 10 calves, producing cattle with carcases that allow them to enter premium markets whilst shortening the age from birth to slaughter.

100 Simmental females joined (includes 15 mnth heifers).

2009 - 4 sires.
